It's kind of a bummer that I have to go to the store tonight to pick up some stuff instead of heading straight home. But I'm doing it for a good reason.

No, it has nothing to do with Memorial Weekend. We are having a last minute farewell party for my folks who are going back home on Sunday. Time flew so fast. I remember how excited I was to have them come for a month and a half vacation with my sister and I. It hit me yesterday when I brought my mom and dad to the store to buy more things to bring back home for their friends and some other relatives.

We lingered quite a bit at Office Supplies as I have ran out of sticky notes and little boxes and paper bags...and I bought two sets of Thank You cards for my mom. She wants to send these to everyone who brought them around and took us out to all those never-ending parties and dinners and food trips....and gluttony (eventually). I have enough Office Stationery at home for the extra notes she needs to write on the side.

We are so grateful to all the friends and family who welcomed my parents and took the time out to be with them.

When you've been good to people, they never forget...and they try their best to return the favor when they are able. I'm thankful that my parents are my parents. You know what I mean. I wouldn't trade them for anyone else.
