My kitchen is smelling like Singaporean chicken rice because I'm cooking Singaporean chicken rice! Teehee! We just came back from a 3-wk vacay in Philippines and Singapore and the hubs and I (particularly our tongues!) still have the vacation hangover from assorted food tripping all throughout the 3 weeks.
We arrived back in Cali safe and sound last saturday and we've pretty much gotten over the jetlag too. I think I'm going to share with you the secrets for overcoming jetlag easily. Watch out on my next post.
Now we're back to the daily grind. I started working last Monday and so far, I haven't really cried over extreme grogginess nor helplessness at work. MIND OVER MATTER, MY SWEETS. Boy, the three weeks seem only like a fleeting dream now. I am now back to my daily routine, including two trips to the grocery this week to replenish the eggs, milk and other perishables that our fridge went without for three weeks. Another sign that we're now back to reality is the fact that hubby is back to scouring the net on his iPad for Geek Toys 2012. It's amazing how habits only take a hiatus and never really go away completely.
The truth is, I'm also into the same things he likes and I really like the website he regularly visits -- http://www.geekalerts.com. Since I'm a gadget freak myself, I'm also on the lookout for gadget news and updates, and sometimes I would give in and end up buying new thingamabobs. The great thing too is, you can also snag an Amazon promotional code or two and what do you know, even Petsmart coupons too! I really enjoy hanging out on that site, in fact, I have the window open for it right now. Beer infused ice cream, anyone? Check out what I'm talking about!
