iSad.

I am not going to launch into a comprehensive review because I'm not iCop. But one thing I know, I'm disappointed. It didn't impress me as I thought it would. I want to wait a little longer. If it can put on the table so much more than what my iPhone brings me right now, I'll probably give it a chance. Not even the ebook possibilities fly, in my opinion. Tell me, if you're going to spend hours of long reading, e-ink offered by Kindle still gives you a better deal. iStrain.

Maybe one day if it comes delivering a major breakthrough such as a smell-o-phone function. Won't that be fun? An app to bring you any scent you wish to reminisce? If that finds its way to invention, don't forget that youyou saw it here in my site first. What a trip that would be. Google a scent? iSmell.

Enough of this, I'm getting cheesy. (iCheese...okay, that's pushing it!)

I had a hearty dinner with hubby. I made spanish rice with stewed tomatoes, and grilled pork chops bathed in soy sauce and lots of cayenne pepper. Cayenne is my new bestfriend now, for some reason.

I'm excited because we're visiting my stepdaughter this weekend. Even if that means catching up on chores I'm going to miss out on in the weekend. But you know what else that means...
some shopping, a lot of eating, and watching her compete in colorguard, and perform dance numbers as the enchanted fork in Beauty and the Beast.Watching her never fails to make my day. Sunday, we're meeting with her mom and stepdad to plan out her career path further. Actually, our game plan --- for the career path she chooses. College is just around the corner. When before, choosing her pair of dunks was the highlight of a visit, now it's all about college applications, scholarships and car insurance. Hubby found a good deal on a used Saturn, and an old Pontiac (but are pontiac accessories easy to find?). We'll see what happens. We have until her graduation in June.

Okay. Sorry to interrupt myself but I gotta go. Hubby needs to go to Walmart and he knows that I never pass up on every opportunity to go there.

iHappy.

And that, my friends, is how my weekend looked like. Awesome, isn't it? I'm a brand new auntie to my sister's baby girl. Here she is!

For some three weeks now, we've been visiting my sister and her hubby and their Baby "Bops" (Bella Olivia -- pretty name, huh!). We've been excited and looking forward to Sunday because of her. At first I was worried because babies still affect hubby and me sometimes,

remember those days we could have had ours. But lo and behold, I think about it but seeing Baby Bops doesn't even make my heart stray to a place that knows only sadness. She's so adorable and funny and cute! I'm a happy auntie and I can't wait to visit her again.

I was also worried that hubby, being a tv freak, will find nothing much to do over there when I stay too long since their satellite has conked out about half a year ago. Last weekend though, I was happy to find out that shows are back on because of DIRECT TV. Our search for DIRECT TV packages in the area paid off. I've been telling them how easy it is to find DIRECTV Packages in their city.

Well, that's my update for today. Were going to LA this coming weekend so I won't be seeing Baby Bops. I'll watch my stepdaughter's colorguard show at 3pm on saturday, and then their Beauty and the Beast play at 7pm, she's one of the enchanted objects-- a very pretty fork!!!

I'm excited. But I have to end this because I have a lot of paid projects for my blogs to wrestle with!

Are you afraid to experiment with Hairstyles?

I miss my lengths. I miss curling them for parties but I don't miss last minute ponytails during times when I simply don't have the time. So before Thanksgiving last year, I decided to have them chopped off and so now I'm sporting one of those Short Hairstyles that's a cross between Kate Gosselin and Dennis the Menace. Yikes, I know. But it was worth it I guess. In fact, I already went back to the salon on New Year's Day for maintenance. Desi, my reliable stylist also threw in some highlights and make up tips.

I think cutting my hair short did me a lot of good things. I was able to free up a couple of minutes here and there which I can utilize for other useful chores instead of getting tied down to hair grooming (which I thought was already virtually non-existent before). I can now wash and go but could use a little blow-drying on special occasions.

I'm loving my short hair. How do you like yours?

I hope I win this contest. But I won't win if I don't participate. And I can't participate if I am clueless about the contest rules.
And I am still clueless right now...
Kaye has a very special spot in my heart. She worked on a lot of projects for me -- including a beautiful free siggie for this blogsite which you see stamped at the bottom of each post. So I'm supporting her (and her buddy Pehpot) all the way! I'm a contest sponsor, by the way. And I also don't know what exactly I'll be getting out of this.
But if you do what I say, I know I'll be getting some much-needed backlinks. And you will have a chance to win $500 worth of prizes!
So roll along! They said sponsors can join the contest too. (Is this post "participation" enough? -- LOL, apparently, I'm still as clueless as ever).
Note to self: Train my eyes to read the fine prints.
But now, I'm relying on you! So if you're just like me needing $500 so bad because I just missed on some great earning opportunities as a very scatterbrained Amazon Associate...so yeah, it's a mutual thang), come click the badge below to see what this contest is all about.

Just a wee experiment...

I'm going to start posting Amazon links here, because I will make my sister buy her baby essentials here! That way, I earn as an Amazon Associate. Hahaha.

I don't see why this won't work.

Darn, I should have done this to the crib...and the baby changer...and the sheets that we bought last month....and the Christmas presents I ordered...and oh, my Kindle...and the... oh well...

I should have done this a long time ago, even for hubby's recent purchases! Hopefully, it's never too late. But I'm realizing this now after we have already bought most of the stuff we need.
=( *slapping my forehead*

Anyhoo,

Here's my baby book pick for my beautiful niece!

And if you're an Amazon grass like me...then I don't need to remind you know that Customer Reviews do count!

I've been eating this lately.

Chocolates topped with kosher sea salt. Yes, you read it right. Chocolate with sea salt. I am not sure if it had any sea salt sodium or any nutrient for that matter and I'm pretty puzzled myself. I'm not sure if it helped the chocolates at all. I think it's a love-hate thing. Sometimes, the balance of sweet and salty strikes a good note, but most of the time, it is...let's put it this way, sometimes, it is just putting some unwavering faith to work. Like you pop it in your mouth and await the balance, and ignore the thousand and one moments when you want to simply give up on it.

I got the box for Christmas. And I brought it to work so I can snack on it during those times when I run out of ammos when the hunger pangs show up. OR...when I run out of quarters for our vending machine.

Sinful, you say? I'm thinking of giving up on chocolates in general.

But this one, well, it will tide me over until the box is empty. I think if Trader Joe's carries it, there must be something good in it. Not necessarily taste-wise.

What do you think of salt on chocolates?

I know that the mysterious color game which pervaded women's Facebook profiles recently has raised a lot of issues. There was a message being passed around women's inboxes to post the color of their bra on the profile sans any explanation, raising the curiousity of the male population and the rest of the clueless.

The sexual innuendo was apparent, but it is actually meant to raise breast cancer awareness, so they say.

What's my take on this?

I hear Machiavelli whispering to me. "THE END JUSTIFIES THE MEANS."

Really?

That is, if you didn't miss the point of it all and have conscientiously launched thyself on a routinary self-check while you were at it. After all, it is what the game was supposed to remind us all as soon as the message hit our inboxes. If only there was an extra line in the message enjoining us to a worldwide self-exam project. I hope you didn't miss the point.

Early detection is the key, so please do your homework if you haven't yet. This is one of the causes that I feel so strongly about, regardless of the kind of publicity gimmick it takes. It's a long story.

But now you know what I was wearing two days ago. And that I did my homework.

Have you?

But oh, before anything. HAPPY NEW YEAR.

And just in case you're wondering...I do celebrate Christmas, as evidenced by a previous post about the holiday rush. I didn't have time to make a MERRY CHRISMAS post so I'm sorry. I did think about you guys though. Between the turkey and ham, and somewhere in between sips of hot cocoa and wine. Like you believe me...

The recent holidays was actually a welcome respite for me, from things I usually do like blogging and the like. Nah, I'm a normal wifey who has a life outside the world wide web...and I meant the whole household stopped. No laundry spinning, and the stove is cold and lifeless.

And now with New Year's Day almost over, I'm slowly going back to the daily grind. Superstition has it that whatever you are and whatever you do on New Year's Day will pretty much indicate what the rest of the year is going to be like for you. I don't want to be a couch potato for the rest of the year.

So I'm slowly opening my books and doing the research I'm supposed to do for work and wish I can as easily buy custom writing term papers and engage term paper services to accomplish just that. Purchasing custom research paper must really be a breeze huh. And so if I intend to accomplish academic requirements myself, I'd better get my toosh out of blogger and get down to business.

So well, you'll hear from me later.

Oh by the way, do you realize that we're a decade since Y2K? Quite amazing, isn't it?

Okay, I'd better get to some serious writing.
