Back in those days when I was still doing my graduate studies (M.S. Psychology - Human Development), one of the important things I've learned about ensuring that we preserve the quality of life in geriatric care is to make sure that we optimize what's remaining of the senses particularly hearing and vision. Most of the time, there is a substantial improvement in their general demeanor.

But we see that phenomenon beyond Geriatrics too. Even young individuals who are burdened by thick eyeglasses or pesky contact lenses, those who are almost blind without these things... "see" the remarkable difference in their lives after undergoing laser vision correction.
