Everything is looking up in the remod/renov department for our home. We have finally gotten our paperwork filled up and ready for our contractors to finalize, as well as the application for our Home Owner's Association's approval. We're getting there. Our backyard is finally getting spruced up and facelifted structurally with a little stamped concrete (scrap my wooden deck dreams), and then a short exodus of our thornless roses over to the other side of the fence, a little Tuscan wall fountain (still vascillating on that because the hubs isn't totally sold to the idea), some more greenery, tiki torches, 2 park benches and hopefully, a fire pit and a swing. There's a big chance that we will just end up with the stamped concrete and a firepit for now. The hubs wanted as much as possible to make this the least stressful project for us so we are taking it slow. We have taken it slow it's been a year and a half! But we're seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. A flicker!!! We're finally getting it done. The contractors promised 3 days? Do we expect 2 more after that?

The next thing in line is our kitchen. There really isn't much to do anymore but we're thinking of restaining our cabinets. We're debating on touching our sinks but the hubs had been obssessing on the tiny chip he accidentally caused to our granite counter top when he dropped a heavy ceramic rice bowl that he was washing. I didn't know you could chip granite with ceramic, but it did! If we change that, we'll also buy a new stainless steel kitchen sink since our friend recommended AMR Direct if we need it. They are the sellers of the "Mr Direct" brand stainless steel kitchen sinks and is a better business bureau accredited, offering same day shipping, and extremely low prices.

It is always a chain reaction of remodeling. I definitely would like to have new faucets too. I would like the one that you can change the spout settings. And then we'll do the bathrooms next. If we have enough funds left.

That's the update on the Wonder Wifey abode. I can't wait for summer!
