If you're like me who regularly keeps an eye out for some meaty nerd stuff from websites with science news 2012 then you would understand the thrill that I, like most others, went through with the recent "Ring of Fire" Solar Eclipse, and the very fresh and "hot" off the oven (literally) "Transit of Venus". You probably were better off because you managed to snag good deals on equipment to view these properly.  While I, had to make do with a homemade eclipse viewer, and missed the transit altogether.  I have no regrets though.  Just knowing that I participated in the hype is good enough for me.  Those two occurences are part of history now, and it happened in my lifetime.  Good enough. 

But next time (say in the next transit of Venus which is not until another hundred or so years, LOL), I want to make sure that I witness it. 

Oh did I tell you, I went to the Griffith Observatory 3 weekends ago and had my geek fix by looking at the solar flares through a telescope.  So yeah,  I have been geeking it lately..and I guess it's a good thing.  The website I frequent also offersonline coupons and discount promo codes which is a great way for a wonder wifey, errrr, geek wonder wifey like me to save money.
