So, Memorial Day just passed, and soon we'll be celebrating the 4th of July. Recently, I just remembered the firemen of 9-11.

Heroes. I realized I've been talking about heroes. Who doesn't appreciate them? Whether they were soldiers wounded in battle or an ordinary civilian making a tiny difference in another person's life. We all, as the urban slang goes...."heart" heroes.

Whenever I see a show on television featuring our brave soldiers who are Purple Heart recipients, I can't help but shed a tear. For these are people who devoted themselves to saving the nation, and putting up a fight for what we collectively believe in. Usually, they are wounded for life, holding the remnants of their past battles in their hearts -- manifesting as psychological trauma and new battle scars and physical disabilities.

If you appreciate what they have done but know of no other way to give your thanks, you can be a hero in your own way by making car donations to the Purple Heart veterans. We can now donate car for this cause. There is an online non-profit that has recently opened its doors to the vehicle donations. Aside from giving food, shelter and mental support to disabled Veterans, this is another good way to show our support.

Wouldn't you like to be a hero in your own little way too?
