I was touched by this photo essay project called "A Shrine Down the Hall". It features photographs of different bedrooms left behind by our fallen soldiers, especially the young ones, as preserved by their families. Some of them still even has posters of celebrities like Tyra Banks...and stuffed toys and teddies. It reminds us that these heroes are ordinary people like you and me, who once had an ordinary life until they answered the call to be heroes. They are now bigger than life. And must receive the respect and honor that they so deserve.
We also don't need to die to be a hero.
What little things can you do to be one?
